Red Cabbage Dish
Slice 1 cabbage finely and put into heavy pan and saute with 1 1⁄2 tblsp, butter. Chop 1 apple into cabbage and stir well until cabbage looks limp. Cover with water and about 1⁄4 cup of vinegar and 1⁄4 cup brown sugar. Cook slowly for 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to taste. When soft, drain water off and add 1 more tblsp butter. Stir well.
